Annie is the owner and creator or Bark and Bloom Designs. “I have a wonderful hubby, an 18 month old daughter and we live with Peanut the dog and Butters the rescue cat. I like my food, op-shops, TV shows, bike rides and wine”

Annie originally started Bark and Bloom Designs when she was pregnant and now manages to create pieces during her daughters nap time and also in the evenings. “Bark and Bloom Designs create flower collars for our furry dog and cat friends to wear at their owners wedding, parties and photoshoots. We have started to create flower crowns for all the humans too, why should we miss out on the fun!” she says.

“Peanut was the real inspiration. We took her to bustling St Kilda one spring day to check out a market. I had an old flower crown I made which I decided to put on Peanut to jazz her up a bit for the outing as the sun was shining and everyone was out. The reaction I was getting from passers-by was priceless! The smiles were non-stop and Peanut really appreciated the pats and attention. After seeing this I wanted other pooches to look just as pretty and bring smiles to people’s faces”

“All our pieces are handmade with only one made of each. Customers can be certain their piece is the only one! I have chosen artificial flowers in lieu of natural as these will last forever, can be worn many more times and much better for pets and humans with allergies.

One of the best things Annie love about her business is knowing that there are dogs out there being a part of their owners wedding! “I enjoy speaking with customers about their wedding and creating a flower collar for their dog that will suit their wedding and theme. Seeing the photos is fantastic!”
